Landon is now 9 months old.
In the last month...
- He weighs 18lbs 10.5oz (21st percentile) and is 27.5" long (25th percentile).
- He is still crawling everywhere, now much faster. He even crawls up the stairs fairly quickly.
- Landon has begun "dancing" to music.
- His babbling is more clear. He says "dada", although he has no idea what it means. "Dat" is another one of his first words...we think he's saying "that" because he reaches out for something when he says it. He also just started saying "up" when he wants to be picked up to look at or touch something up high.
- Landon already thinks (knows) he's the boss. He clearly does not respect our authority or the word "no", and he's already marked his toy box territory.
- He stands while holding on to furniture, boxes and anything between 12" and 24" high, and he can now walk from one end of the furniture to the other while holding on. These days when he wakes up from his naps he stands up while waiting for someone to get him.
- Walking (with assistance) is Landon's current preferred mode of transportation. He seems pretty stable, as if he could take a few steps on his own before toppling over, but he needs to work on his confidence because as soon as we let go of one of his hands he stops in his tracks and slowly sits down.
- Landon usually does a great job of playing independently. He's become a little more cooperative for us to be able to take him to the gym again. His favorite toy is any bouncing ball. He loves to pick them up and throw them, roll them around and even kick them while walking.
- We had our fair share of Christmastime.
We spent Christmas in San Jose with Daniel's family,
celebrated at home in Temecula,
then headed up to my family's celebration.
The little guy was definitely spoiled by both sides of the family!
- Landon's first New Year's Eve was spent with Grammie and Papa and some Zimmerman family friends. He toasted with his bottle.
Our New Year's resolution is to enjoy spending as much time with a sweet little boy as possible!
