Brooklyn uses "my" instead of "I'm" (i.e. "My do it"= I'm doing it by myself. "My dumping"=I'm jumping. "My Dote Simba"=I'm [pretending to be] adult Simba (even though she has never seen the movie and the rest of us are playing superheroes).)
Daniel caught Brooklyn whispering to her books, "Guess what, books. I love you, books."
Landon and I were discussing where belly buttons come from. I explained that Daddy cut the umbilical cord and that he's lucky he has a good belly button. "I have a good pulaki (man part) too." Boys (eyeroll).
Landon and I were pretending to be farmers one day in the playroom. He grabbed utensils out of the kitchen toys bucket, gave me a pitchfork and kept the "pitchknife" for himself. :)
So....when we thought Landon was getting to sleep one night, he was actually putting gobs of pomade as well as hair gel, mousse and body lotion is his hair and combing it. For the record, pomade is not at all easy to remove from hair. It took a couple of days (of a couple of rounds) of olive oil and Dawn dish soap soakings and scrubbings to get it back to normal. Yuck!
We hope you had a great Thanksgiving and November! Happy December!!!
When Brooklyn says something and I don't quite understand, after a couple of attempts she says, "OHHHHHHHHHHHH, Mommy" (like I say when I do finally get it after several minutes) in hopes that it will make me understand.

And she loves ketchup! |
In-N-Out is a family favorite. B likes the ketchup and L likes the milkshake!

For Grammie's birthday celebration, we took her to Adventure Park in Anaheim. We had a great time and Landon surprised us with a love of roller coasters and stomach-dropping rides. We finished the evening with dinner and chocolate fondue at Grammie and Papa's house.
We flew to San Jose for Thanksgiving to be with Papou, Babcia and the Kelepouris family. It wasn't our best trip (medically) there, but we enjoyed being with family.
I'm so glad we took group pictures early in the night! |
After Landon's first bite of his Thanksgiving dinner we rushed to the hospital, as we realized that the bite he had contained a small amount of pecans (which he is allergic to). His tongue and mouth began to swell, but, luckily, he was hooked up and given meds quick enough. It seemed as though the swelling may have come back a little after the meds wore off, so the doctor insisted he be transferred to a different hospital that has a Pediatric ICU to monitor and medicate overnight.
Landon didn't seem to mind, since he was given a stuffed animal at the first hospital, the paramedics turned on their lights and sirens for him after his transport and the nurses at the second hospital attended to their only patient frequently.
Landon recently asked me when we get to eat our turkey, and I realized that he didn't get the Thanksgiving dinner that he had been looking forward to for a month (not that he even likes turkey, but we read quite a few books about Thanksgiving feasts that made it sound amazing).

The last 2 weeks of Landon's multi-sport camp was in November, and he really loved it! They played some more football (with flags this time) and basketball.
Brooklyn tried gymnastics a couple more times, and she seems to really like it, mostly because there's lots of jumping and some ring swinging involved. This time she got to go with her cousin, Zoe!
