Snow, The North Pole, Grand Canyon and Vegas (Nov-Dec 2018)

We took a really fun family trip to Arizona at the end of November and beginning of December!

The kids did SUCH a great job in the car! No meltdowns (and Grammie didn't complain once about being stuck in the far back)!

We started in Arizona at Auntie Sheila and Uncle Tom's house and headed to their cabin in Show Low the next morning. The weather cooperated with our plans and snowed while we were there! The kids loved playing with the dogs, playing board games, climbing on the pile of firewood, coloring, watching a Christmas movie, sledding, building snowmen, having a snowball fight, playing at the playground, attempting to fish (but no fish in the pond) and eating lots of yummy food!

Next stop...Flagstaff!

We stayed the night at Little America Hotel, which was decked out for Christmas.

We took a trolley through a portal to get to The North Pole to visit Santa and his workshop. We built toys, wrote letters to Santa, ate treats with Mrs. Clause, helped wrap, attended Elf University, visited Mission Control Center, saw Santa's sleigh and saw the big guy himself.

Landon was obsessed with the portal and had lots of questions about it the rest of the trip and when we got home.

Daddy brought snowballs into the hotel room to get the kids, and Landon ended up eating a snowball while taking a shower.

Grammie read Christmas stories before bedtime.

In the morning we had breakfast with Santa.

Then we headed to the Grand Canyon. We made several stops at some beautiful viewpoints.

We had planned to stay the night right outside the Grand Canyon, but we decided to go to Vegas for the night instead. We stayed up late walking down the strip to the Bellagio fountains and garden.

The next day we visited the Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. The big cats were fun, but the dolphins were AMAZING! We got to be so close, and there were hardly any other people there. It was an awesome experience!
