After our amazing 4th of July vacation we came home to a brand new nephew/cousin! Lucas Gregory Kelepouris was born on July 5th, so we got to meet him as soon as we got home. He's precious and we love him! (Landon, however, is not so interested in holding him.)
Playroom
Big boy haircut :( :( :(
Papou & Babcia came to Temecula for a visit.
We had a great time at Landon's last MyGym class. He loved the swings and rings and gained a bit of confidence on the other apparatuses over the 2 months he attended.
This girl loves her hummus! By the "poke"ful (fork)
Neighborhood strolling
Boys' Night at Petco Park for a Giants/Padres game
Landon went putting at Temecula Creek Inn, rode in a golf cart, had lunch AND saw "Finding Dory" again with two of his favorites (Auntie Gail & Uncle Fred). What a lucky boy!
San Diego Safari Park - tiger cubs wrestling, eh...gorillas running around, eh...some dirt/hay and a sign to peek-a-boo around, YES PLEASE!
(Landon assisting Brooklyn in thumping her chest at the gorilla exhibit)
Neighborhood excitement on our bike ride to the cousins' house - a crane and a claw moving boulders!
Cousin snack time
Backyard water fun
I love that this little girl is so generous with her hugs and kisses! My favorite is when she runs over to me, wraps her arms around my knee, kisses my leg then runs back to playing.
She's talking up a storm, has words for everything (although most are difficult to decipher) and certainly knows what she wants (and does not want). She's warming up to people (yay!) and doesn't cry as soon as anyone looks at her, although she is very much a Mama's girl anytime she can see or hear me.
She loves her baby dolls and all animals (even kisses them in books), and she loves following her big brother around, copying whatever he does. She still loves bringing books to read in our laps as well as playing dirt/sand/water/rocks. And hummus.
Since last month, every time we paint it turns into body painting too...oops!
Daddy was finally able to cash in his Father's Day dates with the kids...first up, Temecula concert in the park with Landon.
This little man brings us so many giggles! He is shy in a situation until he's comfortable, then he's a silly, fun-loving guy.
He loves role-playing! Whether he's a superhero or the friend we just spent the day with, he does NOT break character. Speaking of superheros, he's REALLY into them (Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, Spiderman, Superman & Batman).
He says the funniest things, usually not intending to be funny, and much of the time he is very, very sweet to his little sister.
The concert was so much fun that we all went the following week (and brought the other Kelepouri)!
Landon loves to pretend to be a superhero and "fight bad guys". He uses my pretty awesome LASIK surgery recovery mask. Any round toy/decoration/household product becomes a shield, and all other objects are swords.
Reading, reading, reading!
She loves to eat "cone" on the cob! Even if it's fake corn.
Any play on the couch tends to result in lots and lots of laughter. (Good thing we have a cushy rug and carpet padding below!)
Grammie & Auntie Tara came to visit the kids, so Daniel and I got to have a date night!
...and double date for the second half!
I can't believe Brooklyn is already a year and a half old! We celebrated her half birthday with a half cupcake - yum!
Then we headed over to the neighbors' house for Zoe's 2nd birthday party! (Zoe is 6 months + 1 day older than Brooklyn.)
I now find it impossible to fold laundry while my kids are awake because Brooklyn feels as though she MUST ride in the "boat"...again and again.
Fountain and park afternoon
(The patriotic theme was unintended...I dressed Brooklyn and Landon chose his own outfit separately.)
Another month full of ordinazing (yes, I just made that up) memories!
