We did lots of fun stuff this month!
We took a family trip to the beach on Labor Day.
And more celebrating at home, of course!
We spent a morning at the Safari Park with Amber, Megan and the little ones.
Grammie, Auntie Gail and Uncle Fred came down for a visit!
Silly boy wore his sunglasses one dark, late night drive home.
We had a fun day at Get Air with Landon's best school buddy, Jackson Webb,
All of a sudden, we are tree climbers! Brooklyn LOVES it. Landon wants to get high in the trees as well, but he's a bit more cautious than her.
"My straps keep falling off!" :( :( :(
Landon has been interested in and very good at puzzles for quite some time, and Brooklyn has recently caught on. Uncle Matt Matt brought the kids a bunch of little puzzles with their favorite characters, and, all of a sudden, that's all we do now. They love it!
When I asked the kids what they wanted to give Daddy for his birthday...
"Daddy wants a orange cake."
"No, I sink he wants green cupcakes."
So they each made him what they thought he would like best, and both included LOADS of sprinkles, of course.
Landon is doing the same multi-sports camp that he did last year. They started with 2 weeks of soccer and 2 weeks of football. Landon LOVES Coach Mason and thinks he's the funniest guy ever.
Brooklyn is still enjoying "dimnastips." She now has the confidence to walk across the beam by herself (she physically could do it about a year ago, but my limp finger CLEARLY helped her a bunch). Jumping on the trampoline is still her favorite thing to do at gymnastics.
She has gotten quite a bit more brave since she started climbing trees. She now likes to climb on tall structures at the park, and even difficult ones that the bigger brother and cousin don't like to try. Hopefully her courage and confidence hold strong as she ages.
Brooklyn requested a Milkshake Date with Mommy after seeing a similar picture of Landon with me, and I obliged.
Who buys their kid that loves dirt white shorts? Oops!
Landon has decided that instead of walking his bike across streets he carries it like this.
Brooklyn insisted that the aerated grass was thousands of pieces of dog poop (even though I told her otherwise several times), so she tip toed across the field, trying not to step on them!
Daddy brought us flowers to enjoy before he went to Mexico for a boys' weekend.
We attempted to rescue a butterfly that tried swimming in our pool.
Brother and sister bonding times...
My old dress, but her own dimple.
Climbers and jumpers...
Wolverine is prepping for Halloween. Watch out, bad guys!
Landon read his first full book, "Bat, Bop, Pop" all by himself. He also does a really great job of sounding out words and writing them phonetically.

Daddy didn't quite get the nap he was hoping for with this little puppy silently begging him to play.
We celebrated Daniel's birthday while camping at Doheny Beach. We had a great time with some great friends!

Brooklyn now has a strong opinion about what she wears most days. Each day she wants to wear either the below Hello Kitty dress, her Elsa (from the movie "Frozen") dress or her "ballerina dress" (hand-me-down dance costume).

Lego's are Landon's go-to activity these days. Airplanes, jets and letters are his favorites to create! He'll spend an hour straight working on them.
