Multi-sports camp came to an end in October. Landon preferred baseball and football over track & field. It seems that he does not care to run (which I totally get!).
Brooklyn's doing really well at gymnastics. Ms. Tina said that she can move up to the big girl class (without parent participation) as soon as there's an open spot. She loves the trampoline and is best at the springboard.
Brooklyn does puzzles what seems like all day long. She'll do the same puzzle, break it apart then re-do it over and over. She has done up to 75 piece puzzles on her own. I find it interesting that she seems to get much less frustrated when she's trying to piece puzzles together (which, to me, is frustrating) than when she attempts other things in life (i.e. putting shoes on).
Our silly boy still loves to dress up and pretend to be different characters. These days it's usually an Avenger or an X-Man (all superheroes).
Brooklyn and I had a fun park day.
They were very excited about Halloween jammies!
We did our traditional pumpkin patching with the cousins! Uncle D took the kids on the train, we watched the pig races (which only Jacob seemed to enjoy this time), went to the petting zoo, "drove" the tractor, played in the hay and found our favorite pumpkins.
Landon chose to go to another pumpkin patch on a Landon-Mama Date Night (the same day we went to the pumpkin patch with the cousins in the morning), so we did that, a park and dinner (with a pizzookie for dessert!). Landon loved sliding down the big bouncy slide and winning prizes at the carnival games, and I loved playing tic tac toe, drawing aliens and playing the line game while we waited for our dinners.
Meanwhile, Daddy took Brooklyn to Luv 2 Play, a new indoor playground. They had a great time crawling through tunnels and sliding down slides!
Grammie gives the best gifts! These kids love their Halloween pillows (ghost and black cat) so much that they refuse to pack them in the Halloween decor bin because they want to snuggle with them all year long.
Western Day at Murrieta Ranch Preschool was a fun excuse to dress-up.
A visit from Grammie always includes plenty of reading time.
Amber and I took our moms to Vegas for a fun girls' weekend. We had a great time relaxing, eating, walking on the strip, having milkshakes and seeing Mystere!
We try to never miss the Temecula Greek Festival.
Landon and I met Briella and Ms. Kirsten at The Merc to watch local dancers perform on the stage right in front of us. Landon seemed to be enthralled with the dancers, especially the young dancer and the girls with tutus.
Preschoolers!
Auntie Amber took the big kids for froyo!
For Halloween this year both kids had strong opinions on what they wanted to dress up as (which meant I didn't get to dress them in coordinating costumes). Landon chose to be Wolverine from the movie "X-Men," and Brooklyn chose to be Buzz Lightyear from the movie "Toy Story". They had so much fun playing in their costumes leading up to Halloween!
They also had a great time switching costumes!
Daniel went on a week-long work trip to the Netherlands. While there, he visited Brussels (to which Brooklyn exclaimed, "I LOVE brussels [sprouts]!"), flew Business Class for the first time, did some sight seeing and smashed his face while riding a bike.
All he wants for Christmas is his two front teeth. One root canal and one implant to come...
During "quiet time" Landon likes to write. Landon made Daniel a welcome home card for when he returned from his work trip.

Daniel missed out on the Temecula Halloween Carnival, but the kids enjoyed the bounce houses, dressing up (just Landon), going on a train ride, playing games and winning candy and prizes.
I started working a few days a week, and, therefore, had to miss Landon's Halloween performance this year. Daddy, Uncle Matt Matt and Brooklyn said Landon did a great job, and they took a bunch of pictures and videos!
On Halloween night we went to the cousins' house. Uncle Matt Matt ("Woody," per Landon's request, to go with Brooklyn's Buzz Lightyear costume) and the Rogers' joined us for dinner and trick-or-treating! While out trick-or-treating, we even ran into Landon's buddies Addy, Jack and Nate!
The kids LOVED coming home, looking through their candy and (most Landon) sorting and organizing it. This must be genetic because that was always my favorite part too! (He even asked for his candy bucket the next day at quiet time. "I'm not going to eat it. I just want to put it out and sort it again." And he really did just that!) This is probably the last year they will forget about their Halloween candy by November 3rd.
These guys bring us so much happiness!!!
