November 2017

While I had a weekend away with the girls, the kids had a great time with Daddy! Brooklyn even attempted to sleep in the big bed with Daddy (as Landon has been allowed to do when one of us is out of town). She was soooo excited that she couldn't hold still or sleep and eventually went to her own room to sleep. From what Daniel said, she wasn't even upset that it didn't work out and was happy she got to lay in Mommy and Daddy's bed for a while.

And I received a "Welcome Home, Mommy" card from my new speller when I got back!

Sweet potato experiment and bell pepper masks:

Jumping is still the best part of gymnastics!

Climbing trees is so much fun!

Happy birthday, Auntie Amber!

Grammie made a "beach room" for the kids at their house, complete with bunk beds!!

For Grammie's birthday, she requested to go to Luv 2 Play. We had a great time running around before her birthday lunch at BJs.

What is a trip to Grammie's house without Pavion Park?!

Date night!

Main Beach in Laguna Beach mid-November was beautiful!

Happy birthday, Grammie! We love you!

Mopping can be fun!

Letter-writing with shaving cream:

Movie time sometimes turns into cuddle time. :)

When brushing teeth before bed, Brooklyn told Daniel, "I want to wear my hat to look pretty for Mommy."

Thanksgiving Day! Landon helped Papa polish the silver while Daniel had a fun CrossFit workout and Uncle Matt Matt popped the champagne.

We had a nice Thanksgiving at our house this year.

Last Thanksgiving, after eating a bite of cranberry sauce with (hidden) pecans, Landon ended up staying overnight in the ER, having only Jell-O and popsicles. This year we kept the tradition of Jell-O and popsicles (and removed pecans from the menu) and were thankful to have everyone safe at home with us.

Daniel cooked the turkey on his infra-red fryer, and it was delicious!

That made room for everyone else in the kitchen.

We ended the evening with a dice game of Left, Right, Center. Landon was thankful for winning everyone's dollars.

The day after Thanksgiving, we decorated for Christmas. The kids were excited that they got to go up in the attic for the first time. Landon was so excited to decorate his own room that he kept asking if I had more decorations for him.

Daniel and Uncle Peter took the little ones to the mall (and The Disney Store) for a fun afternoon.

Tree lighting ceremony in wine country:

Mike Fenwick, Daniel and Peter bought back the old golf cart, and it now resides in Temecula.

Walking around Bainbridge Circle, looking at the amazing Christmas lights is a holiday favorite of ours!

Dinner in the dark!

Big girl is doing well with (and being rewarded for) potty training!

Decorating the tree was especially fun this year, as the kids were excited about the ornaments. Landon remembered them from previous years, and Brooklyn thought they were all "so cute!"

Barney and Shelfie (Santa's elves) came from the North Pole to visit for the month. The kids filled the bag (and another) of toys and books to for the elves to take back to Santa to give to kids that don't have any toys. They were so generous this year!
