December 2017

We kicked off December with Santa's Electric Light Parade.

We made it through the whole parade and got to see Santa!

Brooklyn's pants and underwear, however, did not make it to the end. We knew going out in the evening during potty training was a risk, but even with the spare clothes and portable potty seat she ended the night with only a dress and boots. She wanted desperately to see Santa's float at the end of the parade, so we braved it for the last bit with blankets and she did great!

Brooklyn & Daddy Breakfast Date:

Landon & Mommy Home Depot Date: gingerbread house making.

At our cousin sleepover, the big boys got to stay up late and play Pictionary with Daniel and me. They loved it! Then Jacob stayed up a bit later to play Dicecapades with the adults.

The Advent Calendar is back!

The kids LOVE the golf cart!

We went to Pennypickle's Winter Wonderland event, where we got to visit with Santa...

...play in the snow (which Brooklyn tried to turn yellow),

...paint rocks,

...make superhero masks,

...play with all sorts of scientific things,

...and check out a fire truck!

We had a great time making Christmas cookies one afternoon...

...and decorated them another day!

The Abbott Vascular Christmas party is always so much fun for the kids!

Brooklyn was a new girl this year and LOVED the characters! She even chased down Daisy Duck to give her a hug.

We LOVED our Christmas tree!

Isn't she precious when she sleeps? :)

One afternoon at the Fenwick's house we decided to go to the nearby winery...in the Fenwick's new motor home. The kids thought it was the most amazing thing!

These kids love each other so much!

We took Jacob to dinner, bowling and ice cream to celebrate his birthday. This year he wanted Landon to join him (so he "had someone to beat" - which didn't work out for him due to bumpers).

It was the first time Landon didn't use the ramp when bowling. He had such a great time!

These cousins love riding to and from preschool together!

Gymnastics is so much fun!

My boy asked to use the "Elf" wrapping paper during 'quiet time.' A while later he came downstairs with hand-drawn pictures of candy canes, diamonds and hearts, wrapped in my favorite wrapping paper for me (to open right away because he was so excited about what he had done). I love this thoughtful guy!

Morning cuddles!

Daddy took the kids to the beach, lunch and ice cream one beautiful December afternoon!

Kaylee Rogers' birthday party was so much fun, with a bounce house and a face painter!

On our way to Grammie's house, we stopped at The Mission Inn to check out the Christmas decor.

Grammie's house is always a blast!

We spent a morning at Auntie Gail and Uncle Fred's house playing with toys, putting, singing and exchanging gifts.

Daniel showed Uncle Fred (and the rest us) how the stent in his body was inserted in a fun and educational demonstration. It's so cool that Daniel's work helps to save lives!

Traditional trip to Santa via the Irvine Railroad Christmas Train. Santa, Mrs. Claus stories, carnival games, train rides, reindeer racing and then to dinner!

Landon's first toast: "To the Death Star!" Cheers, Star Wars.

We love looking at Christmas lights!

We had Zimmerman Family Christmas Eve the eve of the real Christmas Eve. We made homemade noddles (yum!) & veal and exchanged gifts.

We headed back to Temecula for Jacob's 8th birthday (Christmas Eve) at Peter and Amber's house.

I love my new massage table from Uncle Matt Matt!

Christmas morning, we woke up to Santa's deliveries.

We had a fun and relaxing morning of opening Santa gifts, building snowmen on the counter, opening gifts  from each other and playing at the cousins' house. Landon got to practice riding his new bike from Santa!

We spent a wonderful Christmas evening at Peter and Amber's house.

We got annual passes to Legoland for Christmas this year. Our first time going was December 27th. We had a great time and plan to see lots more of the park when there aren't such big XMas Break crowds.

They have great splash pads throughout the park, right near the lines for the rides.

Climbing is fun!

B loved petting and talking to this Lego pig.

Wheeee!

Building with Legos was a highlight.

Boat builing/racing and mini-land USA were fun too.

The Lego Death Star and Star Wars characters were Landon's favorite part of Legoland.

The short sink in the bathroom was Brooklyn's favorite part! That worked out well for a day of potty training - no accidents!

Also, the grass by the parking lot was just as fun as the inside of the park!

These two kids have the most fun together!

They support and encourage each other. :)

Brooklyn loves to pick Landon up from school because there are always fun decorations and animals.

Landon was VERY excited to watch his first Star Wars movie! (It was Daniel's and my first Star Wars movie too...I was not as impressed.)

To kick off our New Year's Eve party, we went ice skating with the other Kelepouris kids and the Rogers family. We had a blast! Both kids were able to skate on their own (with the double-bladed skates) but preferred to be pushed while sitting on the seals.

Then we went back to our house with everyone plus the Fenwicks and had a 6pm midnight countdown!
