5 days after we returned from our travels abroad we headed to SLO for our favorite annual 4th of July trip! Sadly, we had to miss the first 3 days, but we had a great time the last half of the week!
The kids actually slept for part of the drive this year!
We arrived on July 3rd, in time for the fireworks show at Sinsheimer Park!
We got another bounce house this year, an upgrade even. Everyone loved it!
We had a great time hanging out and playing at the house on the 4th...
The kids surprised the dads again this year with another water balloon ambush!
We spent an afternoon at The Cliffs and headed to the tidepools for some climbing and exploration.
We went to "the new park" (i.e. Sinsheimer Park)...
...and we got ice cream (on more than one occasion).
We spent some time at the beach.

It's not a trip to SLO without Firestone Grill (at least once or twice)!
And we had plenty of fun at the house!
We had a projected movie and s'mores on the last night.
Adult night!!!
We had a great time!
And we (and the Fenwicks) decided to extend the trip by taking our time on the way back home. We stopped in Pismo and walked on the (new) pier...
...In N Out for lunch...
...the Santa Barbara Pier (and ice cream and candy shops)...
...and at a restaurant in Santa Barbara so the kids could to play in the sand...
...before we realized Landon was sick at dinner.
But it was still a great trip!!
