Landon is now 3 months old. We can't believe it!
In the last month...
- He weighs 13lbs 1oz (45th percentile) and is 25.5" long (93rd percentile).
- He had his first immunizations and handled them like a champ. (He cried really hard for about 10 seconds, then he was fine for the rest of the day!)
- He has really discovered his hands now. He clasps them together, stares at them endlessly, shoves them into his mouth and sucks on them, grabs at objects and he even started holding some toys (for brief amounts of time, that is) a couple of weeks ago.
- Those things that he holds always end up at his mouth. Sometimes they go straight into the mouth, but often times he just sticks his tongue out to lick them. Weird kid. He loves his football most. (mainly because this is what his parents give him since it's so easy to hold on to)
- He loves to "stand up". Obviously this is very much aided, but he gets so excited when he's on his feet - it looks like he's really proud of himself. :) He loves it!
- We left him at an in-home daycare for the first time. She said that Landon did great! I think it's going to be harder on me that it is on him. :) I go back to work a couple of days a week in the next month - Daniel is looking forward to spending Baby-Daddy-Sundays together.
- We took him in the pool (well, the slightly heated spa) for the first time. He wasn't quite sure about it at first, but after a while he started kicking like crazy. We assumed that meant he liked it and will want to spend many hours in the water in the years to come.
- He rolled over (stomach to back) for the first few times!
- Landon went on his first vacation. Our annual 4th of July trip to Pismo Beach was so much fun! We spent time with great friends in some old favorite places:
- Downtown San Luis Obispo (where Daniel and I spent so much time in our college years), including Firestone Grill and Bali's Frozen Yogurt (twice each).
- Pismo Beach Pier (where Daniel proposed)
- The Cliffs Resort (where we were married)
- Pismo Beach
- Fireworks Show - We were so worried he was going to be freezing, scared, cry, hurt his ears, etc.; but he fell asleep right before the fireworks began and didn't even flinch during the show. And, you can see by his outfit, he was probably warm enough.
- Wine Tasting in SLO
- Montana de Oro for a Family Nature Walk
- Papou (Grandpa in Greek) and Babcia (Grandma in Polish) even joined us for a day
We can't wait to see what the next month holds!

The sweatshirt may fit a little better in the winter, but we had to have him wear it here! Thanks, Tom & Joan! |
